Publicly Available Content
PhraseMine analyzes publicly available Reddit conversations (posts and comments) that are freely accessible to anyone on the internet without logging in. We do not access private messages, restricted communities, login-required content, or any individual user account data. No content behind authentication or paywalls is accessed or stored.
How We Use Your Data

- To generate search queries and analyze research results
- To store your research sessions for future reference
Third-Party Processing
To deliver our research capabilities, PhraseMine relies on a proprietary pipeline that involves several categories of external processing:
- AI language model providers: Your research briefs are processed by third-party machine learning infrastructure to power our query generation engine, multi-stage content analysis, and theme extraction systems. Brief text is transmitted to these providers; no other personal information is included.
- Search infrastructure: PhraseMine uses third-party search APIs to execute programmatically generated queries across the web. Only search query text is transmitted; no personal data is shared.
- Public content retrieval: Our platform retrieves publicly available Reddit content (posts and comments) through public-facing endpoints. No authentication credentials or private user data are involved in this process.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the service as described above.
Cookies
PhraseMine uses only essential cookies required to maintain your authentication session. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your research data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (including research sessions, briefs, queries, collected thread content, and analysis results) is permanently deleted via cascade deletion. There is no recovery after account removal.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
PhraseMine is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
